I admit I'm curious. I haven't played in years. Even at my best I was never any good. What I'm interested to know is whether you plan to set up tournaments with bitcoin awards? I guess you can also host puzzles with bitcoin awards?

100% I am planning things like tournys, bitcoin rewards, the sky is the limit. I have been playing chess since I was a kid (I am also not that good), and I am fascinated by the game. I am the chess club advisor at the school I work at. I stream chess live on nostr for fun (see my other post). I'm happy you jumped in here. I see that you've started other territories and are very active on SN. I'm really excited to grow this with you and everyone else.

What's up, pal?
First time I played chess in my childhood, however since "Queen's gambit" movie release I have played chess almost everyday. At first it was chessCom, but my empty pockets didn't allow me to study chess, so I moved to Lichess and since then I improved my skill.
Atm I have rapid rating around 1400+ on chessCom and 1700 on lichess

I've been around for awhile. My old SN account @needcreations got nuked because it was linked to my Twitter and Elon banned me! lol.
Happy to have new chess players here as well. Chess is a great game and not too difficult to learn (but exceedingly difficult to master)

not many days ago, i responded to the question "can you play chess?" that i can do some "rochade" move ... they laughed, it's called different. then i laughed. forgot how it's actually called, i think i am using it wrong again, lol :)
new (or old) friends show up at the weirdest times sometimes :)
