Twice... One was sold as a trading course aimed at teaching you trading. Became real pushy after you make a little profit (about 50 or so) to have you deposit larger sums, it became less about teaching you chart patterns and more about, "hey when are you going to deposit more and start making real money". I chose to walk away from that one with only my initial deposit locked into them. But I need to learn to stop trying to beat them and just not engage at all.
The other was just getting greedy. There was an EOS scam (still is) floating around on MEXC... Where you send a sum of EOS to an address and it returns 0.5% per transaction. It's sold as an arbitrage loop hole. I sent such small amounts but obviously it worked, I worked my way up to about £100 (from maybe £5 worth) and then once I sent that £100 worth over to that address, unsurprisingly enough it didn't come back. I got too complacent. Shoulda spotted it as a scam miles away but some part of me felt I could pull out with profit before they did and that I could beat them... I didn't.
Sold my car to a dealership for far less than it was worth. But I had to lose it quickly and I didn't really need the extra money, so I went with the easy option anyway.
Also lost 50 bucks selling an Amazon card for bitcoin on paxful. Guy at the other end said the redemption code didn't work. He was obviously full of shit
Lol apart from all the altcoins I bought, I think the one scam I fell for was the whole corporate grind set, side hustle to get ahead, bought Gary V books, and tried his dumbass tactics like a mindless bafoon
Enetered the defi space originally and sadly lost a good chunk on a couple but after that I pulled everything and ended up making money before most rugged.
On https://booking.com - do a search, you can see many people lost money via their insecure website. Other than that nothing much, luckily. Maybe once buying a fake products/produce once or twice. But I put that down to my own gullibility. Strangely though, nothing ever related to the world of cryptographic assets.
I came very close to helping a friend buy a bunch of inexpensive miners with bitcoin. fortunately, I contacted my buddy out of band and that highlighted the scam.
Around 8 years ago , my best friend of the time proposed me a very nice business , I gave him more money than I was prepared to lose, I never thought he would lose it all.
I fell for a Real Estate scam when I was in my 20's. But, you know, I didn't learn a lesson. I kept putting money in Real Estate thinking I would finally figure it out. Finally, after several properties have come and gone I understand Real Estate is never going to pay for itself just sitting idle. It needs to be used to increase wealth. Once you understand that, you see that putting Real Estate to work is the pre-industrial way to store and increase wealth. Nowadays there are many better ways to store and increase wealth that our Great Grandfathers didn't know about.
