pull down to refresh

What happen to me was I tryed to be cheap sending a low fee bitcoin transaction and unfortunately it back fire on me, the tx got stuck in the mempool for 10 days, I panic because I could not do CPFP neither RBF on this tx, so I went and obey to this scammy website that promessed me to accelerate the tx for me asap, so I sent them 100k SATs they requested and close my two hands waiting for confirmation from the mempool but no I was wrong nothing was processed for two days now. The lesson from this don't use those accelerator services unless it's a reputable mining pool or a miner with a lot of hashrate that can organize their own block templates.
I think mempool.space has an "accelerator"
There's also VIA BTC that do this too.
Maybe you should warn everyone on the one you used.

It was some called bittools.net

ViaBTC only has 100 free transaction requests that refresh exactly every hour, but they are used up so fast by bots (and ironically for low-paying Ordinals transactions nowadays) that there is almost no chance of filling a successful request in time.

Interesting
I haven't used it since 2017.

I don't even care if my transaction stuck in mempool for half a yearšŸ˜‚

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear you got scammed, man that's such a bummer, good that you're warning and I am sure more people are going to fall for this during this high fee times

How long would it theoretically sit before being kicked back to the original address if you did nothing?
reply
It could stay there forever if not properly accelerated since bitcoin tx are irreversible
reply
they are irreversible when added to the blockchain, your transaction is stuck in the mempool it will be evicted at some point or you could import your seed on a wallet that has rbf (please be ware of malware), those utxo are still yours until they are included in a block. Unless you need your sats soon, i'd say it would be best to just wait.

Ok thank you

Sorry to hear that. I was in a similar situation two weeks ago, sent an on-chain transaction with low transaction fees that got stuck. Luckily, a self-transaction from a change address (address where the change went from the stuck transaction) to itself but with higher fees helped in my case. It worked this way because the transactions have to be ordered on blockchain, so the miners, seeing higher fees, ā€œprocessedā€ the stuck transaction too. Not sure whether this solution works in general or I was just lucky.
