just realized stacker news has the same initials as satoshi nakamoto
was this intentional, @k00b?
š§
So you really are him?
I wish it was. Happy accident!
I didnāt even realize it until @ThrillerX_ pointed it out
Attended a Bitcoin meetup with a lot of great bitcoiners this week but several of them didn't know about Stacker News. I need to start advertising more for SN locally as well apparently
And just like that my node goes down and mad forced closed channels
cracks knuckles
Time to reopen dem Sum bitches!
Bitfinex has implemented LNURL in their mobile app
https://nitter.net/bitfinex/status/1537706660000563200#m
lmao this reply:
"How do I even pronounce this?"
It's pronounced "lenerl". I think its French. Le Nerl.
It would be cool to be able to programmatically generate invoices for my stacker.news account. Is that possible?
Edit: and also look up if they have been paid.
We support lnurl-pay, so you can use that, although they have short expiries.
No API for seeing if they're paid either.
Slowly downloading the BTC chain, it's taking a while.
Realized last night I can run LN over the bitcoin core testnet flow, going to try the testnet and to understand messaging in LN. Any recommendations on learning paths / sources that other devs like are welcome.
Highly recommending playing around with Polar if you want to play around with LN! It's on regtest though.
Highly recommend the resources here if you want to understand the protocol better: https://chaincode.gitbook.io/seminars/lightning-protocol-development
thank you!
BAT users dont seem to care that Bitcoin historically has outperformed it, they dont seem to care that BAT is expensive to move. They dont seem care that the stack they are using is centralized. What they do seem to care about is that they are not using Bitcoin thats what matters to them. Which is interesting.
That is... strange.
I feel that's shitcoiners in general tbh
I haven't met a single person who uses BAT. Most people I know use Brave for the other privacy-forward features
That's the only reason why I use Brave. I hope that one day they drop their shitcoin and adopt Lightning instead.
Was watching a video about an android tablet and the reviewer started by talking about BAT and how ppl using Brave can supports him with it
Seems like a good opportunity for value4value apps to implement video streaming, is that planned?
