We also have powerful new features being added to the RSS feed that work in a consistent way across the ecosystem. This is changing the way we think about podcasting as a medium and how we engage with podcast content, support creators and interact with other fans.

Promoted podcasts isn't the thing anymore?
Also awaiting clarification on this after I asked when they announced the UI upgrade.
Not seen a single promoted podcast since the upgrade.
Did you read that somewhere or is that just based on your experience?
Promoted podcasts were on the main app page. After updating UI they don't appear
I have also noticed that. I was wondering if there was some official communication indicating that promoted posts were no longer a thing.

i recently switched from spotify podcast to fountain. the new design is great and competes nicely with spotify.
i'm surprised though that the highest earning podcast in 2023 was just $793 worth of sats. That's not enough imo.
Yea that feels minuscule
no way to do podcasting fulltime unless you're a joe rogan or have millions of followers.
This was just the top earning episode. We don’t share the show level stats but multiple shows received over $10,000 in 2023.
ahh i see. still not that much money. i'd need 200k/year to do it fulltime.
