Sounds like as good a place as any to ask the burning question in my mind:
What do you parents out there sing to your babies and toddlers to make them fall asleep?
I’m of Chinese descent, so I sing sappy depressing love songs because the Chinese music scene dissects mainly love and all its perplexities haha
My kids are all grown up now, so it's a while since I sung lullabies to them. We have been very big on music in our family, so it's been a big part of our family life. I will have to mull that one over, see what comes up from the memories and come back to you.

It’s okay. I love asking questions. I have another one: who are your favourite artists and have your children inherited your love of them? Is it important to you that they do?

I've not got kids so I don't tend to sing to any 🤣. I'm really interested to see how many different cultures do this.
For the UK, I've mostly heard parents singing "rock a-by baby, on the tree tops" but I can't say I've got any experience singing lullaby's to kids to help them sleep.

Indeed, it’s a common English lullaby
