At last, i rebuild my BTC full node on raspberry 4.

I wanted to install the latest raspbian version, Bookworm. But i faced an issue after reboot:

error message was : Begin: Running /scripts/local-block ... done. Begin: Running /scripts/local-block ... done. Begin: Running /scripts/local-block ... done. done. Gave up waiting for root file system device. Common problems:

Boot args (cat proc/cmdline)
- Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
Missing modules (cat proc/modules: ls /dev) ALERT! LABEL=/dev/xxxx does not exist. Dropping to a shell! BusyBox v1.30.1 (Debian 1:1.30.1-4) built-in shell (ash) Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands. (initramfs)

After digging on the web, the quickest solution was to build on the previous raspbian version, Bulleyes

Now it works like a charm :)

fast and not bad UI, I think it's the best Nostr client I've tried so far, but you need to use other as a backup too ( I use Snort for this ) , because Primal could be down or not loading sometimes.

If they win maybe I will keep it until draft day. That is usually the unofficial start of the next season and then I can add it back on game days. Seems like a lot of work. But I have already accidentally given out multiples of 49 sats when I meant to zap once because I was so used to it being 10.

The clanging of cymbals and pounding of drums reverberated throughout the still air of a nation celebrating Chinese New Year.

“Lion Dance!!!” my kindergartener exclaimed.

“Do you want to check it out?” I suggested.

His excitement was palpable. We held hands and dashed out of the house, never mind that he wore his scandals wrongly. There was no time to waste.

We strode towards the direction of the sound. It seemed to have come from the opposite block of flats.

I made a professional judgement.

The lion dance troupe should be on the 6th floor.

Except that I was wrong.

3rd floor!

Wrong again.

4th floor?

Mocked by the empty corridor.

Eventually, I got fed up and dragged my boy to the topmost floor.

The view was magnificent, but our target was conspicuously absent.

Down one floor.

Success! Well, not quite, because the lion dance performance had ended. But the gentleman who was acting as the lion was still around.

“Would you like to touch it?” he offered my kindergartener.

My son hid behind me at first, petrified of the giant-looking lion. He did pluck up his courage to touch its yellow mane.

We later took the lift with the lion. My boy must be overjoyed.

Because when he came home, that was all he could talk about. He asked me how to draw a lion dance and proceeded to draw lions spanning the whole spectrum of the rainbow. Never mind that his lions looked more like aliens.

He even attempted to write 舞狮. Actually I hadn’t meant to teach him that, but he wrote it erroneously as 五十, so I felt that it was my duty to teach him.

I’m glad that my bicultural kid Is enamoured of lion dance performances. This ensures that his self-identity wouldn’t be swarmed with all things Japanese.

I think they are running a node with a mempool larger than default (1GB vs 300MB). That's probably where the difference comes from.

Mempools are unique per node but I think you know that. We're just fetching it from our own node since that made more sense from a technical perspective. Maybe we should use the fee rate from mempool.space?

I was thinking about using the mempool.space API first¹ and use our own node as a fallback. This isn't the first question and won't be the last question where someone is confused about the fee rate we show. I don't necessarily like that everyone seems to use mempool.space to look up fee rates (myself included) but it is what it is.

Maybe we should "fall in line" and meet user expectations there.

it was actually first considered to use it during implementation, but they weren't transparent with their rate limits. The answer in some Github ticket was only: "if you wonder about the rate limits, you're probably above them." ↩
