I thought I should change my daily NBA posts into a short NBA recap for the day instead of just posting about my subjective play of the day.
Only 3 games tonight in the NBA, but the Bucks vs Grizzlies game and the Warriors vs Jazz game were close games that did not get their result determined until the final shot, while the Timberwolves blew out the Trail Blazers. These are the final games before the all star weekend and the all star break. The Warriors are red hot now, winning 8 of their last 10 games, and they came out victorious again tonight, dodging a bullet from the pursuing young Jazz team. The Bucks continue their struggles under Doc Rivers, losing a close game to the injured and star-less, but young and hungry Grizzlies team. The Timberwolves continue to kickass, beating the rebuilding Trail Blazers in a commanding and convincing fashion.
As for my subjective play of the day, it belongs to Gary Payton II, where he came out of nowhere and does a put back dunk on Klay Thompson's missed shot. (Couldn't find an individual video on the play, so resorted to linking the game highlights. Play goes from 7m12s to 7m24s, click link below to watch.)
There was also a new Shaqtin (see video below). I love Chuck's quote regarding Thanasis "That guy got better job security than a supreme court justice." LOL
Speaking of all star weekend, which part of the all star weekend are you most excited to see? For myself, I've always been a big fan of the Slam Dunk Contest, but seeing this year's participants, Mac McClung yay!, Jaylen Brown, hmmm alright I guess? Jaquez Jr, Toppin who? Does that mean McClung already won?
