someone I know who works at Google told me they literally hard-code race-base switches into their algorithms. Like in photo-detection, if the skin tone is darker than a certain threshold the code will treat it differently. SMH

Why is google doing this?
Brainwash users by elevating the importance of black people?

That's not a secret that "someone who works at Google” has to tell you πŸ˜‚
Google openly said that for years. Image search tries to find photos with a diverse group of people.
And it's not even always a negative e.g. camera exposure being different for darker skin is something that all smartphones do. The photos look better this way for everybody. No debate πŸ€“

It's really a sad trend, like when the BBC depicts historical medieval British figures as blacks, or when some weirdo tv host says that blacks built America.
I suspect more and more people understand the idea of "systemic racism" is bs, but are also unwilling to pay the very high social price associated with openly pushing back.

Historic british figures is obviously nonsense πŸ˜‚
But America? That's historically correct. πŸ€”
