WinCo is a supermarket chain in the Western and Southern US. They want to keep prices as low as possible, but that's difficult due to inflation. They're going to eliminate credit cards to that they don't have to deal with fees. I really hope that Lightning and services like Strike pick up steam because this seems to be a perfect use case.

Also, I hadn't considered that certain forms of payment may become too expensive for business to support due to inflation. I wonder if this is the start of a trend...

The WinCo locations near me have never accepted credit cards, I thought that was just a policy they had globally. Interesting to see that I was mistaken.

As you said, I'd also love to see Lightning/Strike gain some traction, that would be awesome!
