Howdy there, partner! Welcome on into the Stacker Saloon.

It's a bad take, and bitcoiners are increasingly just swallowing up whatever gobbledygook he spews, right or wrong.
Saylor has been around for one cycle.. he is still learning and working through his understanding of what Bitcoin is and what its implications on humanity are.
reply
I agree it's not the best analogy for bitcoin but I understand what he is trying to imply and don't really think it's a big deal.

Yeah I don't mind it, but it does sound like marketing.

I had my first successful day of 36-28-36. It has a nice symmetry. Morning climb: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 Afternoon summit: 9-10-9 Evening descent: 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

waiting for someone to respond "Actualllllly" a right angled triangle would be x-y-z not a-b-c.
reply

It's actually a^2+b^2=c^2. Missing the powers of 2 makes a big difference.
Also, I would call this scheme the isosceles triangle; not a lot of Pythagorean to it.
Nice scheme and good work BTW, @Undisciplined.
reply
Actually, Pythagoras (which you're mispronouncing, btw) was an expert on triangles in general and not even the originator of the formula that bears his name today.

Can Pythagoras play offensive tackle? If so, we will take him in the first round.

Those guys were all elite wrestlers, so maybe. I don't know what his height, weight, arm length were, though. I think Plato was supposed to have been a pretty big dude.

I just felt like I got tossed an awesome alley-oop, but maybe it was from someone on the other team or maybe I dunked it on my own goal.

Howdy partners!!! The weekend has begun and it's time to relax and rest, you deserve it my friend. It was a great week and now let's just bask in our hard work, go out for a nice walk, have a barbecue with family and friends, a fantastic conversation with your significant other and a glass of wine or a cold beer, a hot cup of tea by the pier, just remember to be grateful, always, don't take things for granted and be constant and disciplined, I know sometimes it's difficult but you can do it, I believe in you, always, I'm proud of you and thank you for being. Keep up the amazing work, have a phenomenal day my friend, may it be filled with productivity, love and success. As always, be well and stay frosty!!

Good morning stackers. Wish everyone a good weekend.
Day 34 of 100 push ups till $100k completed.
It looks like the default leaderboard shows the top "value" provided stackers daily, and seem to reset at the end of the day? Hopefully the reward payout at the end of the month doesn't automatically reward stackers according to the new ranking after reset everyday. I guess you guys still have a month to iron this out and the code will work as intended by the end of month.

Howdy stranger. That orange cat I told you about a couple of days ago?...He came back again. Guess he likes that saucer of milk and some scraps I find for him. He's kind of a neighborhood village cat as opposed to a feral street cat.
I can never see orange and not make a connection to a certain decentralized global payment network and this being an orange cat climbing around our picnic table, I called out "Satoshi", and he looked straight up at me and I snapped this picture. I am more of a dog person myself, but I confess I have taken a liking to our regular visitor.

Ironic that self-proclaimed "project knowledge" doesn't know how use use apostrophes.
Also ironic that onto coins we put birds as symbols of freedom.

The playpen was in a mess, with toys scattered all over the place. I battled with the mess for 10-15 mins.
My reward? My baby girl plonking herself in front of the toy piano to hammer the keys. It sounded melodious.

Keep going with my daily Zwift sessions. I went for a short 12k race today, only to find out it was uphill all the way to the end. My legs are killing me now.
Will follow advice I got here the other day to be more aggressive in my way to fight procastrination. Setting up some side projects tonight so that I just don't want or have time to fall into the trap of doomscrolling and moronic shorts.

I'm trying to run Stacker news locally. Who should I talk to if I encounter any issues? In the Saloon is fine? Or should I go to the Github directly?
E.g. I wonder if the instructions on github are still up to date? When running docker-compose up --build I get this message in my logs
[...] app exited with code 0 Gracefully stopping... (press Ctrl+C again to force) dependency failed to start: container app exited (0)
I would expect the app to keep running so that I can access it at localhost:3000.
reply
Probably log a GitHub issue if you’re following the written instructions and they don’t work. The team is very responsive!
Edit: plus, I think more people are likely to find your issues and questions there later, compared to the saloon posts
reply
I suggest that you declare your side projects here. I found that the few times I did so gave me the extra push to tick them off my to-do list. Maybe it will work for you as well.
reply
Good idea. Will do that once I figure out what else to play with other than experimenting with contributing to SN, as implied with my message above.

Packed and excitedly going back to MAKE things mode. 🐝
The first thing I need to figure out is how to dye the sweater that I made with a knitter before; the original color is good, but I prefer something else, and what a great opportunity to learn - I learn the best when I need to solve my own problems, so I did some homework to see who I should learn from and where I can learn, contacted and arranged the time, done. ( *I don't sit around to wait for things to happen - if you really want something to happen, simply do the WORK to make it happen, as simple as that. 👀 )
Also, it seems I can play with Eco print too, so much fun to explore! Learning how people used to make things really made you wonder why most products now are so bad - using all the low quality material and mixed with chemicals and plastics, yet you have thousands years of knowledge out there waiting to be absorbed! Omg, Be The Change!
maybe I would even write a long post to document what I will learn so everyone can do it at home.

Watching LIV Golf. It's like a major every tournament, with some of the best players in the world.
Not as sick as I was, ate 15 oranges and drank a shit-ton of water.
My weekends are for building, hoping to get back to 100% by tomorrow so I'm up to adding a few things to the website I've been thinking about.
