Honest question. I would really like some informed opinions please. The more I read, the more confused I get.

I currently mainly use Blue Wallet and Green for onchain and Phoenix for Lightning.

Thanks for replying! Ok. I start to see a pattern here. Those really sound like the most trusted ones. Thanks again.

Depends on what you want it for, I suppose. I would say BlueWallet fon onchain and Phoenix for Lightning are pretty good ones. They have sufficient features, they are reliable, beginner friendly and have good design.

Thank you for your suggestions. I guess Blue Wallet is turning out to be a clear favorite, even though it just appears to be maintained by a couple of people (unlike the big team behind Green. But everyone mentions Samurai for Android, indeed. Maybe it's time for me to switch phones as suggested earlier by @DarthCoin (those guides make a pretty solid case!).

Do not follow what me or others "recommend".
What others use case is for X app, maybe for you is not the case.
People usually tend to say "use X or Y because I use them", but they are not capable to say WHY they are using them, their knowledge is limited or sometimes they even push you yo use X app for various reasons (influencers).
Choosing the right wallet for your use case is an important task.
I wrote here a SN post about choosing the right wallet: #70725

Personally I like Green
Green is more purist, bitcoin focused (you can ignore Liquid features if thats not your thing).
With Green you can also enable LN but enabling "Experimental Features" in Settings.

Have you tried aqua?
reply

I have. Thanks. But it's not working for me, don't know why. Keeps crashing, freezing, Boltz keeps timing out, etc. It's a real shame, because it looks so simple and clean. I've just tried it again while writing this to be sure, and the problems persist. Uninstalled it again. Hopefully they will fix these issues in the near future.

Fair enough. That's still too complicated for me now unfortunately. Thanks for sharing!

I thought someone was going to mention Nunchuk. I saw that Lyn Alden suggests it at https://www.lynalden.com/resources/ but maybe because it's the only one compatible with the tapsigner. Then Swan mentions Muun and Geen at https://www.swanbitcoin.com/best-bitcoin-wallet/. Any thoughts on why people tend to suggest Bluewallet instead of Nunchuk? It looks a bit more complicated but seems to work well in singlesig mode.
