For me, as a kid it was a warm bowl of pastina with milk and butter. Italian American comfort food, which makes real Italians wince.

But why? Is it because it looks like baby food? I would have gladly eaten it. My comfort food is congee - something easy to eat is great

Oh, I'm just assuming. I've had many conversations with Italian people from Italy about the way those like me who migrated to the US eat.
