Should the Bugle do Stacker Only News Specials?

Stacker.News has quickly become my favorite web related activity/community. Prior to stacker.news, it was giving the CIA all my information on Twitter. One reason I like it here is that Twitter never has generated me cigarette money like Stacker has.

As a content creator, I would like to smoke more cigarettes to produce higher quality content. It's an endless cycle that ends with death by smoke inhalation but you and I have a long way to go before we get there.

Anyways, there aren't very many users on this site, which is incredibly unfortunate. The incentives on here are absolutely brilliant because you are incentivized to engage in order to earn. There are so many sats flowing on this platform, despite small user base.

I am incentivized to grow the platform as the world's second most important journalist in order to earn more cigarette money. The more people that come to this platform, the more individuals who will be introduced to the Bitcoin standard of journalism.

This media organization is going to be incredibly obnoxious with a ref code. It seems like the only logical path forward. We are strongly incentivized to invest in this platform.

Maybe keep the website to give a public intro and redirect the users here if they want to read the full article. So you can still use the ghost newsletter functionality to drive traffic to your full articles. Just an idea

Yeah I want to keep the website. I have some plans for it. Maybe it would be better tho to post the whole article here instead of a link to the website so people don't have to bounce back and forth?

That's what I mean. You keep the website for branding and newsletter. Post the full article here, and create an except on bugle.news that redirect here. Then newsletter with maybe both links. Read intro on bugle.news or full article on SN. Don't take this as final solution, I think it's worth to try different options and keep innovating.

ps. SN gets 60,000+ unique visitors/month and growing, it can appear smaller because 90%+ are simply reading and lurking without contributing content of their own… yet.

Where do you see those analytics. The ones I was looking at were at the bottom of the site that said about 400 daily users.

will be expanding the analytics data at some point, the 400 daily stackers refers to people who earned sats on the site.

roughly 10x more people visiting and lurking than earning right now.

You could also be SN first instead of SN-only and auto-send your SN posts as tweets with a mention "content originally copied from Stacker News (link)". Otherwise someone else might make a bot of it which you couldn't prevent, since this is the free internet and a jungle of sort.

Yeah that's a great point actually. I will definitely post first on SN vs Twitter. Honestly I'm becoming more tired of Twitter because it's all fake and gay. Too many bots being ran by intelligence agencies presenting a view of reality that isn't real.
