There was a brief time when I would keep track of how much protein I would consume within a day, but nowadays I just make sure to eat plenty of eggs, steak, bone broth, and on occasion salmon or mackerel. And usually I feel solid.
I'm just curious to hear stackers experiences when it comes to protein intake. Do you keep track of how much you consume? Do you aim to hit a certain amount per day? What sources of protein do you most enjoy? And do you feel differences on days where you may not get enough versus getting enough or even more than enough?
How have you kept track of it in the past? I never had the need for it and wondering if there's any tech that can do it accurately

I have, I used an app called FatSecret. Decent app, easy to use and helpful. I used it for a few months but stopped because after consistently keeping track of my macros, I got a better idea of how much I should be eating in a day, so no longer felt the need to keep tracking. I think it's a good idea to initially keep track of nutrition to see how well you are eating and if you are covering all your bases. Because most of us are usually deficient in something and logging it in helps you see what you may be deficient in.

Keeping it simple. Fasting, yes, focusing on enough protein, but just enough is enough

I believe that it is completely unnecessary to consider protein intake or any macros for that matter. I eat what feels good in my body and I feel great and I am strong as hell. No need for me to count anything.

Yea, I'm in the same camp now. But starting off I did find it helpful to keep track to have a general idea of how much of what I was eating and then improving it from there. Now I have a better feel for how much I need of what to feel great on a consistent basis.
