@k00b please can you make all the "stackers in hiding" to show also "hidden" in all comments? It doesn't make sense to show in "top stackers" as hidden. Why not hide them totally. BTW I think that stats for "top valued stackers of the day/week" is flawed. What does it means that "value"? I can't believe a stacker with only 8 comments is more "valued" than DavidW or all those from position 11 to 16, when they have many more activity and sats flow than anybody else. The stats displayed have no sense whatsoever: This morning was this:
And now is this:
164 sats \ 0 replies \ @k00b 17 Mar
Most of the ranking weirdness you see is caused by the way the current day is added to the scores. If it's early in the day, it's not very competitive so on a relative basis some people are high value. As more people start gaining value it "normalizes" everyone's score for the day.
What does it means that "value"?
It's intended to mean that for the given time period, that person added the most value, which we define as zapping well and posting/commenting stuff that people zap. Value is the word we chose for rewardability.

It's a hard thing SN is trying to do: use money to provide signal about content. Problem is if you only use money, you get a bunch of ads. So SN also uses some amount if 'trust' or something (I think). There is definitely some weirdness in the SN zaprank, but I think it is trending in the right direction.

I tried to understand that ranking, but it was just too confusing. I'm going to spare myself the headache and just ignore it. Haha.
