I noticed in my history that all my zaps are only 90% of what was zapped to me. Where did the 10% go? All my 21 sat zaps are 18.9 now @ek🤔
Does it go to the reward pool?
Eg the following image shows what was originally a 69 and 10 sat zap respectively

Our immigration slogan today should be Revis Island

Revis Island. He fell off a cliff completely from being that lock down corner to out of the league in like 1-2 seasons.
Tbf happens to a lot of great corners. Xavier Rhodes went from massive to retired in the space of a season.
Future HoFer Patrick Peterson aswell, dude was a stud, he's still been playing good football but prime P2 was a game changer.
reply
Prime Revis was better than prime Peterson
From 2009-15, Revis was the best shutdown corner
This is not a football discussion. Notice that I brought up Revis island in the context of Ellis island and immigration.
USA needs a shutdown immigration policy. Close the border with Mexico. Deportation would be a pick 6. Blitzing is apprehension and incarceration.
reply
Can't disagree with you there. I was just reminiscing over great CBs, and I forgot to bring up Sherman. We've been blessed with some great players to watch. But yeah I agree, prime revis might be, for my money, one of the best to ever play that position.
As a non US citizen I can't comment on US immigration policy.
reply
Interesting, because you have lots of comments about USA gun policy
What’s the immigration policy in your country?
You watch American football and you don’t live in North America? Interesting
Sherman used PED.
It is very close, but I didn't get a shot. Revis Island! Good memories. My buddy and I were talking about Freeman McNeil earlier.

I did many experiments with Bitcoin in all these many years in Bitcoinlandia. I like to play with people's mind when you show them the power of Bitcoin. Especially with kids. That image in the forest, was part of another experiment game I did with some kids. Like a geolocation game, they had to find the treasure, loaded with sats. 80% of locations were found, but this one remain there, undiscovered. So I let it be, for years, I wonder when somebody really understand it.

@k00b please can you make all the "stackers in hiding" to show also "hidden" in all comments? It doesn't make sense to show in "top stackers" as hidden. Why not hide them totally. BTW I think that stats for "top valued stackers of the day/week" is flawed. What does it means that "value"? I can't believe a stacker with only 8 comments is more "valued" than DavidW or all those from position 11 to 16, when they have many more activity and sats flow than anybody else. The stats displayed have no sense whatsoever: This morning was this:

Most of the ranking weirdness you see is caused by the way the current day is added to the scores. If it's early in the day, it's not very competitive so on a relative basis some people are high value. As more people start gaining value it "normalizes" everyone's score for the day.
What does it means that "value"?
It's intended to mean that for the given time period, that person added the most value, which we define as zapping well and posting/commenting stuff that people zap. Value is the word we chose for rewardability.
reply
I tried to understand that ranking, but it was just too confusing. I'm going to spare myself the headache and just ignore it. Haha.

It's a hard thing SN is trying to do: use money to provide signal about content. Problem is if you only use money, you get a bunch of ads. So SN also uses some amount if 'trust' or something (I think). There is definitely some weirdness in the SN zaprank, but I think it is trending in the right direction.

How I Plan to Spend 10k Sats
I won Fun Fact Friday this week. It isn’t often in life that you get an unexpected windfall.
Actually, I received a 10k zap earlier this week. I withdrew and zapped as usual. Nothing really memorable happened.
To derive maximum utility from this 10k sats, I plan to use my 10k sats in the following ways. It’s counter-intuitive because I like being spontaneous & going with the flow. But the chance to create indelible memories trumped other considerations.
  1. Pay myself first - Already withdrew 6k sats
  2. First bounty - Want to organise a 1k bounty as a way of giving back
  3. Revival - I want to search SN randomly n zap old threads that help me learn something. Very often, I come across eye-catching titles but fall short of clicking of them because I don’t feel like I have enough sats. This will change. Will zap 20 posts at 49 sats each. Remaining 50 sats will cover my commenting costs.
  4. Self-development - Aim to ask for 10 questions in ~Bitcoin_beginners to enhance my knowledge. Pray that @siggy47 keeps posting feedback constant at 95 sats lol. If so, I will have 50 sats to ask one question in ~food.
  5. Fast & furious commenting - Sonetimes I take myself too seriously. Maybe I subconsciously think that long-form comments will help me recoup my zapping costs. I’m just gonna unleash my witty and sarcastic self 20 times at 49 sats each. I will have fun, I think.
There you go. My plan to spend 10k sats!
reply
Ah, so now I understand the reason for your question in #467790! Congrats! That sounds like a good (and much more detailed than I'd have come up with) plan for the sats.
