So those who have been using Shitcoin instead of Altcoin are technically wrong https://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video_thumb/EclGJDSVAAADldg.jpg
Seriously, I guess I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish here? Language evolves and dictionaries are descriptive, not proscriptive (unless you're in France where they legislate and prevent changes to language). The OED didn't add "Bitcoin" until 2013, but it existed before then, and "shitcoin" is a pretty common term.
I'm pretty sure "is Darth too rude or just blunt" has been debated to death in multiple threads (I'm pretty new, but have come across a few), and given that English isn't his first language either (I think?), I don't know if this approach makes sense here.

You're absolutely right.
First of all I am not trying to establish that using the word 'shitcoin' instead of 'Altcoin' is completely wrong.
Instead, I'm just saying that if someone wants to use the word 'altcoin', what's wrong in it? I don't see it's a harm to anyone. If anyone uses 'shitcoin', there shouldn't be any problem to it as well.
I, personally, use both the words and do not have any special liking or disliking because I see that both the words are suggesting the same narrative.

Ah, okay -- fair point, and I hadn't realized that was the major concern. I'm not bothered by "altcoin" either -- I tend to use "shitcoin" more around here (when in Rome, etc), but it's certainly not a term that bothers me.

What actually bothers me, I don't understand why do someone always try to impose 'the maxi ideology' on newcomers here on SN? Seriously I don't know what are they trying to accomplish? May be that's how they want to remain relevant. Then I wonder, what if someone is already so relevant!
