Did Obama ruin American infrastructure? What about Trump, surely he ruined everything, right? Is Biden actively throwing American infrastructure into crisis?
I don't think it's that bad. Most people here should be aware that infrastructure degrades over decades which makes marking any 4 year time period too small to pin it on it
Though infrastructure is inherently a long game, so associating failures with who's currently at the top may not actually work. Trying to parse out when upkeep was missed is a lot harder.
Each one is so newsworthy that it creates a false perception, much in the same way that airline crashes (which are statistically a lot less likely to kill you than bee stings, drowning, or choking on food) also get a lot more attention.
(Which isn't to say the attention isn't warranted -- multiple deaths are a tragedy -- but it skews perceptions.)
That's interesting. I'm not sure the count of bridge collapses is the best variable. A single lane wooden bridge in rural Iowa is rather different than that huge bridge in Baltimore. Still, it's always good to have a picture to give context to stories.

Dont know what infrastructure improvements could prevent collapse when a shipping boat runs into you...

The Key bridge didn’t collapse. There was an allision which destroyed the bridge

Hey, bro, shut up.
It's the current thing we're getting mad about.
