I don't think age defines maturity or a person's knowledge. I respect older people as much as younger people; for me, age doesn't define the degree of respect. I often hear that we have to respect our elders, but when they say that, I get the feeling that we might not respect younger people. With regard to the question on this topic, I feel younger than my age, I'd say I'm 29, how about you?
When people ask me my age I truthfully don’t remember and need to do the math. After the milestones of 21 and 25 I have lost track.

Respect can't be imposed by any aspect (age, wealth, position, authority etc). If you want to be respected, you need to EARN IT doing good things to others.
You can be an old fuck and nobody will give you any respect because all your life you were a thug violent cop that also was beating your wife.
Or you can be a brilliant young man, doing good with your intelligence, building good things for others. They will respect you for what you've done.
Respect = Proof of Work
