On to the Next One
A fitting ending to a very compelling NCAA March Madness tournament last night. UConn dominated all tournament, so why not the second half of the championship game as well?
Congratulations to @siggy47 for coming from behind and pulling out the Final Four pick 'em victory. He claims it is the first sporting contest or wager he has won since an undisclosed victory thanks to the '86 Mets. He might be heating up after a long bear market guys.
As you all know we currently have the MLB Survivor Pool running, but you may not be aware that @Undisciplined is running an NBA playoff survivor pool. You can find out more info about it here #498841.
A couple other things we will have on the go this week. Tomorrow's post will be a Mock draft post for @Undisciplined's Raiders. If you can give us your positions of need sir and any trade restrictions you would like for tomorrow's post it would be great. Also, later in the week I will post a pick 'em for the big UFC event set to take place this Saturday.
So goodbye Madness and hello next one.
Sats for all, GR
Raider positions of need:
  • Right tackle
  • QB (we have two average starters already, but no franchise guy)
  • CB1 (our corner depth is pretty good, but there's room at the top of the depth chart)
  • Guard
  • RB (ideally a speedy receiving threat)
We do not need a kicker or punter. but all other positions are open for a clear best player available.

you just created the 500,000th item on SN!
🥳
reply
Great. Had I known such a momentous occasion was afoot I would have ensured something profound was said. Oh well, maybe for 1M. Congrats SN
reply
Think how far SN has come if the 500,000th item was the Raiders draft needs posted in a dedicated sports territory.
reply
Yes it is pretty wild and exciting for what the future holds. The way you and I post and comment all day we should be at 1M in a few months. Haha.
reply
That is wild to see how far it's come.
reply
That's awesome!
reply
Oh they were talking to you. Haha. I thought they were talking to me.
reply
In your dreams.

I didn't know because the comment just showed up in my notifications and assumed it was a response to me. That happens a lot. Sometimes I get wrapped up in these conversations that I have long left and then I look at my notifications later and think "what the hell are these people talking about" and I realize I am just looped in and it's not a response to me.
reply
Happens to me a lot too
reply
Might be a nice feature to have a response directly to you appear one way and an indirect response another way.

I thought you were just trying to talk down on @Undisciplined
reply
Excellent. Are you cool with the same parameters as last week with 1 trade max and you can't trade future picks?
reply
Sounds good. Although, I didn't even realize those were the parameters last week.
reply
I didn't want people trading all next years picks to move up in the draft to win. Didn't seem like a level playing field.
reply
See undisciplined didn't read the rules either 🤣🤣🤣
reply
Better to ask forgiveness than permission.
reply
Also said one draft and I gave like 4, 2 of them for the wrong team 🤣🤣
reply
I am a lenient official it seems.
Getting hype to do a raiders draft. This will be super entertaining and interesting. They're in a similar position of need to my vikes, and could be candidates to utilise capital to trade up and block the vikings. Going to be really interesting to play about with.
reply
Yes, I am looking forward to it. Undisciplined is getting JJ McCarthy by hook or crook and he is going to love it.
reply
Just win baby!
reply
Drafting only "raiders" so basically kids with character concerns 🤣🤣
Nah, I feel like I could cook something really good up. Especially at 13. I think if the big QBs are gone. Pull back, accumulate more seconds, go corner later in the 1st, take a QB in the 2nd like rattler as an example, look to the 3rd/4th for that recieving RB like Estime, and see if you can't get Christian Mahogany in the 3rd ish? I feel like he or something other decent guard could be floating about in the 3rd. Then utilise the later picks for depth, some WR help speedsters specifically, try to help out those LBs aswell with some later round fliers. I got a draft plan going into this already 🤣
Oh plus wheeling and dealing like a mad man (can I please have more than one trade , so long as I don't use future picks, pweety pweese)

The giant killers are off to a nice early lead against Indiana.

Watching the Blue Jays. Will catch Raptors in 30 later.
