Seeing the happyiness AB⚡️DC bring to Austin, makes everything worth it.
starting to realize the most signal comes from this daily post
Finishing up polls. It feels like I could get it done today, but accounting for testing/corner features, it might take a little longer.
nice!
So, I'm pretty certain this is a scam,

Should SN do something when a post is either a confirmed scam, or very likely to be a scam?
agreed
Yep, eventually we'll need some kind of flagging.
OP posted just it a second time.
Time to bring out a Banhammer?
We don't have a banhammer and I don't want to wield one. Besides, it's trivial to create new accounts.
The long term solution is probably:
Because it is a link post, the SN visitor viewing recent may not see the comments and the flags therein.
This isn't the first post likely to be fraud here on SN, but they've been surprisingly very rare. But as SN continues to grow, and the fraudsters start sharing their tricks on their Discords, ... I suspect this won't be anywhere near the last of them.
btw this post is from your scammer: #51125
I see that. It definitely had marked all the checkboxes of a con. Could've be wrong, of course. We'll see.
I agree. Comment warnings aren't going to be sufficient for long.
For the AMAs it would be cool if there's a way to stack up the questions earlier, before the AMA starts. E.g. a day ahead.
John Carvalho did that. It seemed less exciting though. There's something nice about the realtime-ness.
Small podcast recommendation for you @k00b: the podcast "Land of the Giants" has a season about Facebook right now. The first few episodes are about the early days and I think this could be very interesting to you.
Tl;dr in case you don't have time: Zucc encouraged platform growth under the motto "move fast, break things" - they were rolling out changes every f-ing day. And the by far the most important software wasn't the social media or the algorithm or anything like that - surprisingly the most important code was an algorithm to segment the userbase int A/B tests which means they rolled out changes to a part of the users and not to another group of users. And then they could evaluate which of these 2 groups used Facebook more.
Maybe this could also be something for SN. e.g. the sorting algorithm how long things stay at the top and how fast new content rises can probably adjusted by tweaking one or two Integers? Maybe the perfect ratio can be narrowed down with A/B test through the userbase.
great find 👏👏👏 keep these coming
Great rec! I'll check it out

Big day ahead, lads! Biden and Xi are having a little conversation today. And the US Q2 GDP Data that they're oh-so-fearful of will drop soon 👀🍿
I don't give a shit about those clowns and what they discuss. A big day is only when a new merchant adopt/accept BTC/LN, all the rest is just NOISE.
