Remember the old adage: If you asked horse & buggy users their ideal fix for their transportation they would've responded - faster horses.
My point is often we can't predict what we really want.
Think of it another way, if I told you "do you think a podcast with a guy who was a former host of fear factor and interested in martial arts and aliens would be a hit?"
Personally, on paper Rogan is not someone that I would've bet that I would be interested in....but he has that good knack of being a great interviewer and picks interesting people, so it works really well.
There's a sense in which you're right, clearly -- but I don't think you're right about everything. Just because sometimes people are delighted by a thing they didn't know that they wanted doesn't mean they don't actually want things and wouldn't be delighted if they got them.
If you live in a town with no good cafe, you may want a cafe, and if you got one, you'd love it.

Yeah, I can imagine generalized ideas of podcast I would like. I feel we already have very good technical focused bitcoin podcast. There's also lots of good economic / financial ones.....I would like something more focused on the social implications of bitcoin, maybe?
However even tho on paper I would want that, so much of it would be the specific personality and view of the host. So its hard to guess....

I'd be v interested in that, too, or at least, a thing that I'm hungry for could be described in that way. Btc is so big, would be nice to have a really big-picture podcast that prominently featured btc and the forces it intersects. For my taste, I'd actually like it to be bitcoin-informed, but not actually bitcoin-specific.

For sure. As per your original point, the right person can make surprising things interesting.

Thats a good description of what I would like as well. Sort of like an underlying assumption that "bitcoin is here, its a success, and will change the world"
I'd like a podcast that speculates on: What will the world look like in 50 years given this development.
