I have a home inspection tomorrow(the joys of rental). So today I have deep cleaning every.single.room and managed to keep up with all the comments on my posts bar one (will get back to you soon @Undisciplined)πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« I may be just a little bit tiredπŸ˜‚ It hasn't helped that I woke up at 3.30am this morning! https://media1.tenor.com/m/IPq-Ep9u10AAAAAd/tom-jerry-cleaning-house-tomjerry.gif
Like, seriously? Is such an inspection legally ok?
reply
every six months - totally legal too. I am grateful for it though as it makes me deep clean the house at least twice a year which I probably would avoid more often if they didn't come

The owner of my current apartment told me after he gave me the keys from the place that he hopes he won’t see me again anytime soon πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ (otherwise, it typically means he has to come and fix something)

Very common in Australia, at least. Also, very annoying, and quite demeaning if you ask me (way to remind you that you don't own the place you live in...)

I am in the UK and it's been the same with every property I have been in... I don't find it demeaning though as even if I could buy, I don't want to own a house :)

I spent a year in the UK and I met my landlord once when we signed the contract.

Nice! I have been in my current house for 5 years and its been amazing! I don't deal with the landlord directly as he goes through an estate agent so I have never met him! It takes all the issues away when I need something done - they just sort it out for me!
