I’m at a strange point in my life. I feel that my morals as a person and the way I want live my life does not align with my partner’s expectations. The hardest part is that my partner is truly a good person and I love her to death; but I have to sacrifice my very being as a person to continue to be with her. “Love is the death of duty” they say, and it’s been resonating even more so for me day after day. I’m not looking for solutions, just wanted ramble at the saloon bar.

Thank you for replying. She’s pretty set in her ways. It’s ok though, I think I’ve already came to terms with it. As long as I am to stack sats, there is still a part of me I can hold on to. Who knows maybe in the future she can see that I’m not completely out my mind haha

Both. Zeus is beautiful, plus you can manage other LND connections (GetAlby, Sats.mobi) Although, I've had fewer issues with Blixtwallet tbh.

Yes. I'm loving Zeus so far. I wanted to try Blixt today but in the end I didn't have time. I couldn't find a way to verify the apk with signatures etc. I'll try tomorrow again.

someone i onboarded non-custodially cashed out thru venmo within a couple months. it was a very small amount but the financial strife got to 'em... i figured that's alright, at least i got to help 'em a little bit with little effort and some education. after all that is what fellow bitcoiners are for.

Your Name
Your name is not yours; it is given to you, usually by your parents.
There is no law saying you must have a name, but it is useful to have one if you wish to interact and contract with others.
It is the name that is used within a contract to “represent” you on paper, and it is this vulnerability of requiring a name that is exploited by those who control the system.
For something to be given to you the giver must have full and complete title to it, this also includes your name.
Note: Although you have “ownership” and use of “your name”, it continues to exist even after you die and is then no longer in your control.
Once you are given something, including your name, you must be sure you have full and complete title to it. It is unlikely that any loving parents would give their new born child a name with strings attached, however they are tricked into doing just that.
The people behind the system knew they could never control your name, so instead devised a scheme of tricking you into accepting “their” name, under “their” full control.
With this deception you have been turned into a bonded slave.
Note: The Latin word Nomen or “no-men” is the root word which leads to the Germanic word, and then old English word “nama” or “noma” meaning “name”.
Nomen in Latin means name, race, family, nation, fame, a thing or person, and a debt.

In my country, your name, as a tradition, been given by a religious saint. We have a traditional ceremony much like baptism in Christianity. We call it 'Namkaran' in Hindus.
Also, I see that most religion followed the same until recently. However in contemporary world, it's our parents who are giving names now.

Especially so in Iceland, I believe.
In Iceland, you cannot name your child whatever you want. You can only use a name that appears on an official list of approved Icelandic names. But it is possible to apply to a committee for permission to use a name which is not yet listed.
Who knows that our name actually enslaves us?!

In Portugal, there's also a list of approved names. However, if you're not Portuguese and your child is born here, you can already give them any name you like.

The list has approximately 4,000 female names and 4,000 male names. You can check out the list here.
I don't mind sharing a name with thousands of others. It's important to note that in Portugal, people typically have four names (e.g., João Pedro Silva Teixeira). However, only two names are mandatory (e.g., João Teixeira). The mandatory list of names only applies to the first two. The last two can be whatever you like. Typically, following the example above, Silva is the mother's last name and Teixeira is the father's last name.
