In the market for a Linux laptop and would like some recommendations from this community. I've heard of System76 and Tuxedo both of which seem to use Clevo laptop chassis'. The Thinkpads also seem to be a good option although seems like an outdated chassis IMO.
Would love some input from you guys on what systems you'd recommend.

Appreciate the recommendations. I had looked at the Librem but forgot why I ruled it out.

Check out Framework: https://frame.work/
They take reparability really seriously. You can order one without an OS so you can install a compatible linux distro.

Personally, if wanting a Linux laptop for personal use I would be looking for a ThinkPad on the second hand market and install the flavour of choice.
You pay a premium for Linux Laptops from dedicated suppliers and generally the mainstream offerings are oriented towards business professionals, so you pay through the nose for a level of support you may not require.

it also depends what you want to do with it ? -administration -game -sound/video

I actually just buy a windows laptop and install kubuntu on it. Easier to get exactly the laptop I want.
Also gotta mention the Pinebook Pro. If it had a 15.6 inch screen it would be my daily driver. https://www.pine64.org/pinebook-pro/
Framework looks cool. My dream laptop is a framework with a 15.6 inch screen. (May become available within a year or two.)

I've got mine from https://tuxedocomputers.com .. a bit pricey but they make sure to put in components that have supported drivers. overall i am quite happy with what I got. I think it's a German company, so it's a good option for europeans
Any thinkpad/hp will do. Just use more up to date distros with newer kernel, and you will be fine.
