Personally, if wanting a Linux laptop for personal use I would be looking for a ThinkPad on the second hand market and install the flavour of choice.

You pay a premium for Linux Laptops from dedicated suppliers and generally the mainstream offerings are oriented towards business professionals, so you pay through the nose for a level of support you may not require.
