the term "bitcoin maximalism" has been used very flexibly across the board, so I though it would be interesting (and fun) to have a sense of what it could mean to this community.

Bitcoin maximalism is the pathway between fiat mindset and becoming a real bitcoiner
  1. Fiat mindset: still measuring Bitcoin in Dollars. At least in the back of their minds they still think of making "more" instead of the Bitcoin-way of saving which means constant buying power instead of "more".
  2. Bitcoin maxis: The middle step. They are insecure and defensive about Bitcoin. They derive pathetic serotonin from kulturkampf on Twitter. Usually lasts 1-2 years. For edgelord neckbeards maybe 3.
  3. True Bitcoiners: Chill. No need to be emotional or arguing. They have realized that Bitcoin is inevitable because nobody can isolate themself from a harder money. Everybody deserves the price they buy in. Indeed, they think neither about fiat or Bitcoin anymore - instead they just save in Bitcoin, don't think about it and live their lifes.
I personally feel like at the end of 2. If you look at thought leaders and famous coders in the Bitcoin space: most of them are deeply in 3. I admire the calmness that e.g. Pierre Rochard or Antonopoulos have about this. Not a single drop of insecurity.
