In "Raiders of the Lost Ark," there's this well known scene where Indiana Jones faces a skilled swordsman (who performs an impressive display of swordsmanship). Instead of engaging in a difficult fight, Indy just shoots him. The scene wasn't in the original script. Harrison Ford was suffering from dysentery at the time and couldn't perform the scheduled choreographed fight, so he improvised by pulling out his gun and shooting the swordsman instead. The director, Steven Spielberg, loved it and kept it in the film. It turned into one of the most iconic and humorous moments in the series!
