GnR new for you? Wow man you got so much cool stuff to experience, try "night train" and "you could be mine". Also see "November rain" and "civil war".
As you may have noticed, i m more in Reggae, Rock Psychedelic, Rock, Trance, Funk , Trip Hop....
When i was 12years old, i used to listen Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Van Hallen, Ac-Dc but i ve been listening to it for 3 or 4 years ....
Then i stopped listen to that type of music.
i ve been discovering or rediscovering Hard Rock, Metal Rock for the past 5 years...
Certainly there were high expectations for that album. However, it's also true that those who have experienced "Welcome to the jungle," "Paradise city," "Don't cry," "Sweet child o' mine," "November rain," "You could be mine"... have a hard time appreciating any of Guns' other musical works..
For sure. If CD had been released by a band that didn't have those high expectations on them, I think it would be looked at much more favourably but unfortunately it's got some pretty big shoes to compete with, especially seeing as it took a decade to release.
It's true. And in all these years, Axl was looking for perfection..
Maybe in another 20 years this album will also receive the recognition it deserves. As has happened to many other greats in the music scene.
Tbh I felt that way about the crusade album from trivium. Any other band and it would have been an absolute banger, but it didn't sound like what we had to come to know as their sound.
Several years later and that album is one of my favourites, it's really well put together and some of the guitar work is awesome.
Perhaps I share my favourite Japanese song Sukiyaki. So famous that a boy band called 4PM did an English version of it. @riberet19 liked the 4PM cover; maybe he would like the original as well:
This was really cool! I love hearing different music from non English backgrounds. It's really interesting to me to hear the music techniques they use.
Slash has been sitting in with the house band on the Jimmy Kimmel show, so here's a song from the last classic-era GnR album he was on, a cover of a great Nazareth song.
I'm looking forward to the album! It was originally supposed to release in April or May, but so far they've just done two singles. So I'll enjoy those in the meantime!
Damn it feels good to be a gangsta
Gettin' voted into the White House
Everything lookin' good to the people of the world
But the Mafia family is my boss
So every now and then I owe a favor gettin' down
Like lettin' a big drug shipment through
And send 'em to the poor community
So we can bust you know who
So voters of the world keep supportin' me
And I promise to take you very far
Other leaders better not upset me
Or I'll send a million troops to die at war
To all you Republicans, that helped me win
I sincerely like to thank you
'Cause now I got the world swingin' from my nuts
And damn it feels good to be a gangsta"
