The world is a little crazy right now to say the least.

What do you think are the most important realisations that we must awaken to? 🌅🙏

Having a reliable way for people to agree on things that are true.

reply

Yes I think we have to develop discernment. Particularly as AI could or will put another fake layer onto society. That’s a long post all in itself.

You and everyone you know will die. The most asymmetric pursuit one can make in life is investigating whether or not there is a spirit that transcends the body/if there is a spiritual element to the universe.

reply

Straight to one of the most fundamental questions. I like it. 🙏

Saifdean Ammous talks about fiat scams. For me the ones around ‘healthcare’ are major and something that we need to become more conscious of.

reply

We need to find real ways within. We can't lose spirituality along the banks of desirability for materialism.

The most important realization we must awaken to is taking from the rich and giving to the poor makes all parties worse off.

The rich won't work as hard to make more, because they know they're being robbed at gunpoint.

The poor won't work as hard, because why would you - you are getting a free handout.

The net income loss of the society is therefore doubled. If you start taxing at extreme levels and giving to the poor at extreme levels it just compounds. A society like this will tend to unravel pretty quickly.

Unfortunately, most democrats/socialists don't see this yet.

I remember some lines from Mathew Arnold

The sea is calm tonight.
The tide is full, the moon lies fair
Upon the straits; on the French coast the light
Gleams and is gone; the cliffs of England stand,
Glimmering and vast, out in the tranquil bay.
Come to the window, sweet is the night-air!
Only, from the long line of spray
Where the sea meets the moon-blanched land,
Listen! you hear the grating roar
Of pebbles which the waves draw back, and fling,
At their return, up the high strand,
Begin, and cease, and then again begin,
With tremulous cadence slow, and bring
The eternal note of sadness in.

Sophocles long ago
Heard it on the Ægean, and it brought
Into his mind the turbid ebb and flow
Of human misery; we
Find also in the sound a thought,
Hearing it by this distant northern sea.

The Sea of Faith
Was once, too, at the full, and round earth’s shore
Lay like the folds of a bright girdle furled.
But now I only hear
Its melancholy, long, withdrawing roar,
Retreating, to the breath
Of the night-wind, down the vast edges drear
And naked shingles of the world.

Ah, love, let us be true
To one another! for the world, which seems
To lie before us like a land of dreams,
So various, so beautiful, so new,
Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light,
Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain;
And we are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight,
Where ignorant armies clash by night.

We must find genuine ways inwards. We mustn't lose religiousness on the shores of desire for commercialism.

I believe it's the gap we are forming between us and nature. We must understand that the balance can only be while nature stats in the same weight.

I wish people respected each other's cultures and ways of life. We must respect others in order to be respected ourselves, and respect is built over time.
