That's what I'm saying. Here we can buy a midsize new car in 5k and the maintenance would be like 50 to 100 dollars for every 15000 kms ride. 

So, a new car is better option here. I don't know too much about US. 



The problem is the insurance is never cheap.
Even on old cars. 

They claim it's only "$1.5K/year" which is pretty excellent

I love cards but new and cheap. Here in India we can buy a good new car in 5k to 10ks. So, I bought one 2 years ago all in cash ... And there's little to no maintaining costs for at least 10 years I suppose.
