Hey All - Maybe this only applies to us, but my fiancé and I both drive pretty cheap cars day in and out to save money and stack more sats. We both paid cash on the barrel head for these cars and outside of the typical maintenance ($1.5K/year), things are going well.
We drive a 12+ year old Chrysler 200 with over 175K miles on it, and a 10+ year old Accord with over 122K miles on it. Both cars combined are probably worth no more than $10,000 per Kelly Blue Book.
The way I see it is we can both hit our stacking goals, drive reliable transportation and not be debt slaves like the majority of the population. It is a freeing feeling every morning to wake up knowing you don't owe anybody anything for these cars. It would be nice to have a nice truck or car, but we can both see that lobster trap too clearly.
What car do you drive (or have you driven), that has helped you stack more sats?
