What Is This?

This is an experiment inspired by discussions and posts made by @Undisciplined, @elvismercury and others regarding evergreen content on SN. I’ll dig back into the past to try to locate some great posts that might be worth another read. I plan to make these posts every Tuesday.
Here are this week’s selections:
It's not that old, but it's gold. This post addresses some tough questions about the lightning network. @benthecarman knows what he’s talking about. The discussion is fantastic. There’s some disagreement and a lot of valuable information
This AMA by Gigi is fun. Who doesn’t like Gigi? I’m sure I’ll get an answer to that question.
Comments and suggestions from everyone but @DarthCoin are welcome. (Just kidding- In fact, I’m sure one of his posts will show up here soon)
I remember ben's post. Very informative and realistic, you don't see many posts like that.

Quality learning in both of your suggestions. Thanks!
There aren't many AMAs these days! On reading this one here makes me feel how educational they can be about Bitcoin. People have questions and they need answers but they don't have a proper channel of asking. Here at SN, we have a proper channel but unfortunately we aren't seeing a lot from there.

I agree that AMA's are really good. I seem to remember a lot of good ones here. Try doing a search for AMAs.

I am exploring them one by one and learning a lot from there. It's just that we aren't having new ones. I've got an idea. Can we not start a 1 hour daily class for educating those who seriously want to learn about Bitcoin. Can we come with a course and we enroll some students and later on we also award them a certificate of completion. Everything like school. There are many Stackers here who seem to be very misinformed..

One of the great things about SN is that you really are free to try your ideas. You'll find out pretty quickly whether it works or not by the amount of engagement you get in your post. Maybe this project can be your thing. It would be a good idea to plan it, then make an introductory post. You will probably get input, suggestions, offers to help, and negative criticism. Then start the project and see how it goes.

Thanks! You're absolutely right! I'll come up about this in detail. I only worry that I'll be a student there, will I get teachers or not?
reply
Thanks! Really both are gold. Worth reading every word!
How frequently will you be posting them?
reply
The plan is once a week
reply
I think that's very good. If you post them regularly @Undisciplined's post would get into competition.
reply
That would be fine. This Day in Stacker News is going to be turned into an automated part of SN at some point in the near future.
reply
This was really @Undisciplined's idea anyway. Obviously we don't want to overdo it. If there is little interest, I'll stop.
reply
Wow! I thought of inciting a little fun but both of you seem to have caught me!
There's infact no competition. One is a post based on SN and other is purely a personal take.

Sharing zaps with the OP's may have been a nice gesture. Maybe consider that next time?
reply
Good idea. I was planning that when I started this, but I forgot. Maybe I'll throw these sats to Ben's post. I don't think Gigi is active here any more.

where did the artwork come from?
reply
I found it on wikimedia commons by searching Golden Oldies. I'm not an artist😀

Thanks for sharing. Very informative
