It depends. There are many people who I convinced to get bitcoin simply by explaining what it is, why it's an innovation, and why I think it's wise to have some. They went and did the rest themselves with no problems. Others I had to walk them through a little bit more, especially how to move your funds to a cold wallet.
The darkside of this is that some of those people went further, putting their bitcoins on things like Celsius and Voyager, something I would not recommend but didn't explicitly warn about. So that is a big regret of mine, not warning them about things like that.

Well said... Exactly that, few years ago, I come out more and start warning people about these aspects. It is really sick seeing people get scammed so easily.
