The, let's call it, 'rhetoric' of Kamala Harris is reminiscent of a stupid Dadaist. The left is trying to decontextualize and confuse everything that still provides a shadow of tradition and meaning. We are experiencing the cacophony of socialism anew, unstoppable, unburdened by the reality of our existence, which is fed by traditional empirical knowledge, reaching out into the madness of its functional parasite caste. We may not experience the rhetorical Nagasaki, a duel with Donald Trump. But the waterbording with words by Harris continues on decontextualized video snippets on 'X'. This will be hard enough for a normally set up brain to digest.

It'd be a cacophony and dadaism on show from both of them. But Trump will be louder!

I'm sitting here with my morning coffee and just wonder, how da heck did we get here. We have two presidential candidates that suppose to be smart, educated, experienced, well balanced and decent enough to run the country and represent what the country stands for (not a small feat), yet we have an option of an babbling idiot (but hey she a female) and ego-centric (yet somehow patriotic) old man with issues.
If that's the best we can produce then I need to buy/build that cabin in the woods pronto...lol

Her credentials are weak when you factor in affirmative action.
Colleges and law schools have very low standards for black women in America and she could not meet them.

She for sure isn't deregulating anything or reducing the welfare state. But socialist? Sounds like inflationary use of words until they have lost all meaning.

Her commitment to the green new deal is socialist… but that’s not to say she the problem… the problem is the money printer that allows funding of the govt programs at the mostly hidden expense of the users of the currency. That is socialism and it is not working.

Have you looked at her record and her rhetoric?
If not socialist, what would you call it? Serious question
She spent most of her adult life in San Francisco, the most left wing city in a left wing state. She didn’t win her senate seat in 2016 by using moderate rhetoric.
She has disavowed all of her previous statements and positions on fracking to gun control to illegal immigration and we are supposed to believe her? If you believe the new Kamala you will believe anything
Does she support gun rights? No
Does she want to expand the Supreme Court? Yes
Does she support the green new deal? Yes
Does she support Medicare for all? Yes

Politicians with socialist thoughts, ideas and actions are socialist. It's a simple equation.
reply

The best trick socialists mastered is to barf and yet be called a horse. Disregard anything a politician say, and focus only on what he does. If Kamala has been responsible for socialist measures, either directly or indirectly, then she's a socialist.
That's the text book definition of being a socialist @zuspotirko, there's no discussion there. You can freely state that you like socialism, but you can't barf and ask us to call you a horse.

And yet some SN users insist she is not a socialist.
Reminds me of the hatred for Blockstream and TapRoot and Liquid, etc
But this is more serious and dangerous than hatred of TapRoot, etc
reply
21 sats \ 12 replies \ @didiplaywell 5 Aug
This is wholly serious. Blockstream and Taproot are subjected to the free market at the end of the day, where the client is always right, for he can not subject others to his own taste. Governance being about coercion, those people that so lightly blandish their disregard, as a superior moral stance even, are sworn executors of freedom and peace. But they are not your problem now. They will not reverse, for the socialist mindset is all about the fatal conceit. Your problem is the youth, which is flexible and can re-adapt easily, yet still lack a mainstream social movement other that socialism. There's still no serious competition, we can see that from here. Elon aside, socialists are largely uncontested in the USA, and that's a factor that can make the problem last for generations to come.

I don't think the Dems are socialist at all. They're the worst kind of opportunist capitalists. My favorite part is how the TV is doubling down on the constant nonsense that she is popular. She won zero delegates when she ran for pres. She has nothing, she brings nothing, and I'm not convinced she'll be their nominee. Meanwhile, every single thing they literally shoot at Trump backfires and makes him stronger. It's unreal. The silly kids that lured him to Chicago under false pretenses? Are you kidding? How embarrassing for them.
Of course, I wrote a Flash Fiction Story about it just yesterday.

You are arguing against a point that I'm not even making. I said they are opportunist capitalists. They sell themselves out to the highest bidders. They are whores, and the Republicans are jealous.
BTW, The green sh*t is no less socialism than the current fossil fuel configuration, big pharma, agriculture, airlines mfrs, or any of the other major industries. So whatever with all of that semantic nonsense.
reply
47 sats \ 3 replies \ @Bell_curve 4 Aug
The green stuff is socialism because it requires more government spending and control and elimination of certain industries.
The airplane and automobile did not rely on mandates such as banning horses as a mode of transport
reply
0 sats \ 2 replies \ @herschel 4 Aug
again. you are arguing against points i am not making. the auto industry DID demand mandates against alchohol aand other fuels, and hemp as a body material. some of henry ford's first cars were alcohol fueled with hemp body material.he wanted there to be many choices, but the fossil and steel industries twisted his and the govt. arms. the auto industry has demanded many many regulations over the years. just a lttle bit of research can help you understand this. go ahead, argue with a detroiter. do that. this will be fun.
