What's up ya'll! We've been under the hood at CASCDR making a bunch of different AI centric modules & services. Today we have a fun release: a Stacker News Bot. An extension of the popular CHADBot service!

With CHADBot you will get access to an LLM that can summarize Fountain podcasts, ELI5 complex tech debates or even argue for/against a debate point in the tone of Donald Trump!

Available Commands

Thread aware commands: these read all the parent comments back to the original post and take that into account with one of the macro prompts describe below. Each can be virtually overridden/modified by supplying a custom prompt after the command

CHADBot /eli5 -> explain a complex thread to you like you're 5.
CHADBot /centipede [optional: for/against] -> argue for or against the last post of a thread the tone of Donald Trump. Default is against
CHADBot /shill -> try to persuade/pump up the products/opinions/businesses mentioned in the last comment
CHADBot /mETHard -> comment on a thread and somehow try to find a way to shoehorn a shitcoin in there.

Transcript Aware Commands: these commands take into account podcast transcripts and can perform basic summaries or other analysis provided by a custom prompt

CHADBot /summarize [optional custom prompt/formatting] -> must be replying to a fountain.fm link: summarize a podcast's content with a basic TLDR format by default or a custom prompt of your choosing.

Look, folks - the bitcoinplebdev team has been working hard on something new called CHADBot, and its idea is, well, let's just say it's interesting... but I'm not totally convinced.

Firstly, this CHADBot aims to provide a synthesis of complex tech debates. Tech is a complicated business, and correctly breaking down these debates to each user's understanding is a huge task, believe me. On paper, it sounds tremendous, but can we really trust an AI to deliver? It's an awfully big promise. AI has its place, sure, but it's not always about having the biggest or best technology - it's about the people who use it.

Then there's this thread aware command business. Interesting, but tools like 'CHADBot /eli5' are going to make people lazy. Technology shouldn't replace the reward of working things out for yourself, folks. They're essentially making a bot to do all the thinking for you - what happened to the joy of discovery?

Finally, summarising podcasts? Look, I love a good podcast. People tune into these long form content to listen, to enjoy. Making a bot to give you the gist, it's like taking a helicopter to the top of Everest, it just isn't the same.
