Hey it's me Dennis Porter (no, not that Dennis Porter) again.
I went to my local meetup last night and the topic of security and self-custody came up. I was asked about my thoughts regarding security setups and hardware wallets. When I shared my perspective I was laughed out of the brewery (almost literally).
The truth is my wife manages our private keys and security situation. Without sharing too much information, we have a multi sig wallet for most of our savings and it was set up by my wife who also manages our hardware devices and seed phrase backups. I don't think this is particularly strange or unconventional. She's a software engineer for a major tech company and she watched a webinar with Stephan Livera and decided to overhaul our security.
I was called a "simp" and asked multiple times what would happen if my wife cheated on me and left but I don't think those are fair questions. We are in a loving committed poly relationship and I trust her. She is more technically competent than I am so I have zero qualms about this arrangement.
Again.. my question is: how would you handle this?
