Err, wait - the spirit of freebies, would actually be okay, if we could figure out a way to make them scarce to the account. I don't take issue with all freebies, I take issue with abuse of freebies.
I was plagued by this same problem until I turned them off in all my territories.
Okay. They've perhaps lost their utility for posts. We'll keep them for comments.
Most people don't see freebies. The default sats filter in settings is 10 sats.
Perhaps we should just turn them off for posts all together though.
I feel like anyone who posts a bio is likely to get some sats thrown their way, which should be enough to start posting (or certainly enough to leave comments, which should net them more sats quickly if they're not spamming).
Could you rate limit freebies somehow.
We are just going to remove them for posts.
You can turn off freebies in your territory settings.
