Steps to do:
  1. Install Linux Debian
  2. Install bitcoin core with daemon
  3. install CLN (Core LN)
  4. Install CLBoss plugin
  5. Install Electrum Server (EPS or Electrs)
This is a strong base for a strong node on that laptop
Optional if you want Tor and other apps (RTL, LNbits, BTCpay etc)

  1. Umbrel is just a nice web interface, is not a node software.
  2. After v 0.5.x they fucked badly all the "internal affairs" of that bundle. Was a promising bundle, but is not anymore...
  3. Being a huge bundle will always have issues with apps and also those apps will not be updated
  4. Any personalization change you will want to do will depend a lot of how is constructed the bundle.
  5. umbrel is more for noobs with a Pi that just want to discover and learn stuff about running a node. If you want a serious node, DIY.
