This is a recurring post inspired by discussions had by @Undisciplined, @elvismercury and others regarding evergreen content on SN. I’ll dig back into the past to try to locate some great posts that might be worth another read. I plan to release a new Golden Oldies every Tuesday.

This discussion is as relevant today as it was a year and a half ago. Self custody is crucial to bitcoin, as is scaling and adoption. Regulation by prosecution in the U.S. has further complicated matters recently. The SN wallet changes that are coming soon will focus all of our attention on this topic.

I really enjoyed re-reading this post from more than two years ago. I use mempool space all the time to keep an eye on things, particularly when I’m looking to make an onchain transaction, open a lightning channel, do a submarine swap, etc. You can run it on your own node, or check it out on the web. It is also a great learning tool. Caveat- don’t be searching your own transactions on the web site without taking appropriate privacy precautions!
