Not Everyone Wants Freedom

People are very comfortable during this time with the deception they are offered by the modern slave masters. Fyodor Dostoevsky was right:
The best way, to keep a prisoner from escaping, is to make sure he doesn't know that he is in prison.
Bitcoin is the embodiment of the ideal of individual sovereignty. But most people don't want to be free.

Understanding Freedom in Financial Terms

At its core, freedom in financial terms means having full independence with one's assets without any interference. As explained in this movie.
It is not universally desired, though. People find comfort in the manipulation and the lies that come with fiat currencies; that includes all cryptos.

Knowledge in the Pursuit of Freedom

Stacker News is the premier social network platform for people on their journey to understanding freedom. Individuals can tap into resources like Why Bitcoin Only and of course the @Darthcoin's guides and community knowledge, which demystify understanding the Bitcoin ecosystem. This the best place where individuals feel at home and obtain key information that will support their transition to a freedom mindset.
However, as much knowledge as Stacker News gives to empower many, so too does it identify a reality-meaning that not everybody wants to be sovereign individual. The blindness is too much for many to perceive that they need to be free.

The Dichotomy of Choice

The mere decision between Bitcoin and fiat including crypto speaks to deeper values and priorities in itself. Bitcoin offers a revolutionary shift whereby people can get away from manipulative central entities that lie and deceive.
Only the brave reject slavery and choose individual sovereignty, whereas others stupidly choose slavery because the modern slave is blinded by the centralized systems. This dichotomy brings us to a very important factor of individual sovereignty, and that is choice. Well, here on Stacker News, you are learning about individual sovereignty and how to get it, even though "people like choices".

Conclusion

Bitcoin is a very special form of freedom. But it's also one that is not appealing to everyone. With platforms like Stacker News, providing the knowledge and tools that help people do so, there must be recognition of how that sparks economic empowerment. Not everyone desires freedom.

Well said, it reminds me of the last few scenes from the final Matrix episode.
“…The sheeple aren’t going anywhere. They like my world, they don’t want this sentimentality, they don’t want freedom or empowerment. They want to be controlled. They crave the comfort of certainty and that means you two back in your pods, unconscious and alone, just like them..”

The FREEDOM that Bitcoin offers is true, but people prefer to be prisoners. On the one hand, in accordance with what Dostoevsky says, current systems try to make people not see themselves as prisoners, but the truth is that "THERE IS NO WORSE BLIND MAN THAN THE ONE WHO DOES NOT WANT TO SEE"
The Orange Pills are not for everyone. Let's look for the NO so that when we find the YES we can use that Orange Pill well.
REMEMBER THAT BITCOIN IS PoW, both for the one who takes the Orange Pill, and for the one who offers it. "LET'S NOT GIVE PEARLS TO PIGS"

Commies actually despise freedom. DESPISE it. They would, in fact, kill you to stop freedom. They'd kill everyone, even half the world's population, who appreciates freedom if they could.
Thankfully they're too stupid to learn how to use a gun.
Whew... We really dodged a bullet there.

A lot of that is why we may see the most profound impacts of bitcoin in the developing world.

Without the curiosity to learn and educate (oneself), there cannot be freedom. Freedom means becoming and being responsible for almost all aspects of your life, knowing almost exactly what is good and beneficial for you and what is not. Fiat enabled people to push out personal responsibilities to others, especially to the government and bankers. These entities took avantage of the trust bestowed on them to abuse and enslave. Fiat makes people weak and complacent. People do want to be free, but most are not prepared to face the reality. And, bitcoin is about that reality (self-responsibility).

the reality is, most people are either too lazy or too stupid to give a shit, they are born on autopilot and stay on it for their whole lives.
they will be robbed by inflation and would sooner end up destitute than bother to learn about bitcoin or take any responsibility for their lives.
the good news is, there is a lot of information and communities for the people that eventually decide to seek out a better way.
like the saying goes, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear
