Fold is definitely building a power house. I hope they keep their eye on the ball now that they have public money.

reply

Yeah, I'm eager to see more discussion of the changes they're making, but they seem very positive to me.

Pretty soon, Fold will be an easy one-stop shop for new bitcoiners looking for ways to stack sats, spend sats, and manage their fiat finances.

reply

We here really need one such service in India. Right now we don't have any and because of this I haven't seen a single place with a sign board 'Bitcoin Accepted here'.

reply
a sign board 'Bitcoin Accepted here'

I've never seen that either. We're all still very early.

reply

I used to have the plan to buy a lot of these stickers and just troll stores by sticking it somewhere outside for customers to see. The plan was that customers would then ask about paying with bitcoin; increasing perceived demand. But that would obviously be a very immature thing to do.

checks where to buy these stickers

reply

This is an excellent plan.
I have done something similar for my my tution classes when I slipped a pamphlet from down under the doors of ever house in the town where I started the classes. It was quite successful.

reply

Why not we do something like that in India?

reply

Because we can't risk going behind the bars.

I agree. It's a great plan.

reply

I would also suggest to organise a satsraiser for any such plans.

I'm surprised. Not in USA? I think, there are many others who have seen. It's just, you aren't so lucky to see them.

reply

Not the right area, I guess.

reply

I don't know much about Fold's history in the making, are they Bitcoin only company?

reply
reply

It's a shame Fold isn't available in India.

reply

They are planning international expansion. They are available in Canada but with very limited offerings.

Mbappé was substituted in the 80th minute after he complained of discomfort in his left leg

We talked about this situation in this post #698858 . Too many soft injuries in players. Over the weekend Rodri and Ter Stegen, yesterday Mbappé. More to come….

reply

How would that impact Madrid's chances going ahead. Mbappe can have the same quality substitute?

reply

Mbappé is a top player and difficult to have a substitute in the bench. However, considering that Vinicius , Rodrigo and the new raising star Endrick are still available , they should not have big problems for the next few weeks.

In addition they have Bellingham, Modric, who can also may help scoring. Top teams have enough depth bench to keep performing.

reply

US presidential elections are winner-take-all. The game theoretic equilibrium of that kind of repeated game is a stable two-party situation.

reply

I kinda like two party system. Here, it's quite messy. We have so many parties. In India, there are at least a hundred parties. The voters get confused, like everyone has a leader. There's no clear way to look at politics.

reply

I think the issue with the two-party system is that it's very easy for powerful lobbies to capture them.

reply

You know Mbappe is my favourite footballer now. I'm gonna miss him.
