The government only needs to use bitcoin to fix the system, if that is what you want to hear. However, I do not think you & they are prepared for the trade-offs.

This is true of most humans. Its fair in my experience when it comes to self sovereignty. That said, the Covid19 really woke a lot of people up to becoming more sovereign and prepared for things falling apart.
