The east coast is leadjng by alot. I have noticed mine gettjng better, but it also depends on the company.
I thought these figures were much lower. Here in Europe it's the state that pays, who pays in the US? Is it health insurance, the company or the state?

Usually it isnt a lot. Maybe 24 hrs? Then you have to use unpaid leave or pto.

But who pays?
Here in Portugal it's the state (all workers pay a monthly deduction of 11% for these situations and in case they become unemployed). The state pays for sick leave:
up to 3 days -> 0% from 30 to 90 days ->55% from 91 to 365 days ->70% more than 365 days -> 75%
