When we start walking down the rabbit hole, we find several rabbit holes, one of them is defining how to make my Bitcoin safe, then an avalanche of information comes and we want to try everything and have everything, including myself, it was like that in my case, ask @Cuba_BTC to see how I drove them crazy. But things have changed.
I'm not going to make a tutorial, not a guide, that's what those who know the most are for and there are dozens of places. But I'll tell you how I see it now.
First I understood something. ONCHAIN WALLETS ARE NOT FOR PAYING, THAT'S WHAT LIGHTNING NETWORK WALLETS ARE FOR
That said, I understood that the security of my coins depends on my good practices. NEVER NEVER NEVER SHARE THE SEED PHRASE, AND PUT AN ADDITIONAL PHRASE.
So what to choose MULTISIGNATURE, HHW, WOW?
Multisignature is a security measure for when several are involved, so if it's just you, would it be worth getting into something complicated? Only you know.
Hardware wallets, an excellent option to have your keys without touching the Internet, each one has different costs, and there are those who claim that their purchase is justified when the Bitcoin we have is our salary, imagine, if I follow that advice, my salary is 39,700 SATs, and a TapSigner, which is not exactly a top-ranked HWW, costs 44,500 SATs, I would have a TapSigner, but nothing to guard. So consider.
Finally there are the WatchOnly Wallets, for me a viable and easy-to-use option. There are several recommendations, including the old and always current ELECTRUM with its PC and Mobile versions. For me, another option is very good, I use BlueWallet + Sparrow, I sign with Sparrow, it never touches the internet and I transmit with BlueWallet, in WOW mode, in it I have the Sparrow addresses and I see the funds.
I offer you these recommendations from my perspective as a novice so that you can have a light approach to the subject. It is up to you DYOR, study and ask. Success. See you down the rabbit holes.
