But then he screwed it up:
“Don’t buy the derivatives, buy the real. Either buy Bitcoin or Ethereum.”
His advice regarding Microstrategy.
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I don't get his fascination with ethereum. During the bear he kept railing on bitcoin but saying he still owned a little eth.
I don't think he has a clue.

I think his interest in ETH just lies in that Wall Street is receptive of ETH and likes the smart contract idea. They don’t have any other cryptos available to trade just BTC and ETH so if people want to get into it via Wall Street you only have the two options

I was joking. The guy gets on a major network regularly and gets everything wrong about bitcoin.

Wasn't this the guy who was trash talking Bitcoin? Or am I tripping? There's no second best!

Oh yeah. He's bought bitcoin, he's trashed bitcoin. He's really a living, breathing cartoon. But, he is valuable as a contrarian indicator.
reply
Its close. Why did he have to mention etherium? Just buy the actual bitcoin. Some people will never get it.

The real... lol. Unfortunately Eth is going to need to crash a lot more before people realize they should buy bitcoin. That is, unless some influential tradfi boomer tells them its a scam but bitcoin isn't.

Businesses (Wall Street) loves the smart contract idea. If BTC develops an ecosystem around this I think Wall Street would switch over to BTC fully but until then ETH is going to be the one they push cause of the ecosystem. Plus they will also always need BTC to have a competitor or at least a second level thing like Gold has Silver, Oil has Nat Gas, Stocks have Bonds etc.
