Suppose a user uses either an email password combo or lnurl to login. Would it be possible to prompt the user for a password when they make changes in settings?
reply
We could. Although we don't have passwords so it'd probably be like asking you to login again.
What's the motivation?
reply
I'll DM you on Twitter about it.

This is an interesting comment. Seems @NoBSBitcoin account feels slighted that someone else is posting links to articles that also are featured on NoBSBitcoin. Bizarre!
appreciate you posting stories from our feed here, please consider donating some of the sats earned to our operating fund
reply
This has been suggested before, and it's still probably too early, but perhaps the move is to allow accounts to prove they own a domain and they get a split of any tips the links to their domain earn.
reply
Oh, I see.
What could happen then though is the SN user might just use a link to something like a Tweet that has a link to the article for domains where that revenue split would occur. I suppose nothing is stopping others from then also posting the original source link.
It's interesting to watch these dynamics when there is competition for the sats earned on SN.
reply
When you create a post there's a option button where you can indicate to which SN user can FW all the sats. If the original creator of the link you post is on SN, is a nice gesture to give them the sats from tips. But is optional, nobody is forcing you to do that.
I use that option if I know that the user is here. I am not here to "make a living" with sats from SN.
reply
It's be nice if it did it automatically though based on the domain or twitter account or something.
reply
If is not with the user consent, that sounds as taxation or something like that :)
reply
Fair point. Perhaps it's just an option in their settings.

Today is better. Today is sunny. Waking up to overcast weather brings me down.
Could flagging posts be abused by flagging new posts with 4-5 alts as soon as they are posted?
reply
Flags are weighted by trust and upvotes (also weighted by trust) counteract them.
reply
Once something has been outlawed, can it be un outlawed?
reply
Yes, by trusted upvotes
reply
I think you will see an increased number in new logins (sockpuppets) trying to upvote themselves...
reply
It's wasted energy because sockpuppets aren't trusted, ie have no reputation.

Word of the day for Bitcoiners, to help in the narrative wars: Escalation
Escalation is the idea of a rate of price change, or adjustment, due to any factor, including technology and supply-demand imbalances.

You can now see when things have been outlawed in WWM.
Is that maybe not getting the OUTLAWED tag in real-time, but the visibility does occur in real-time? I commented on that as a reply to the above.
reply
It was outlawed but didn’t appear until page refresh. I can make it appear immediately but I don’t want too much positive reinforcement for flagging.
reply
Oh, OK. Makes sense.

Been noticing more Jewish hate on this site. It’s disgusting and I will flag you and spend sats to demote you!
reply
At first, I was like, "really?"
But then I...
Seriously, what is wrong with humans?
reply
I don’t get it either!! But I will spend sats to crush all and any ethnic/racial hate I see on this site!
reply
How do people learn to hate jews so much so they spend much of their time showing that off online? It makes no sense.
To me it seems like a stupid government program that has people infiltrating none-mainstream social medias to spread jew hate, a false flag operation if you will. Or something. Anyway, its hating jews is old and boring. Why dont u hate some democrats get some balls

Wow. 750 people on the payroll for AML/KYC compliance. Such a waste.

@k00b if I tip by mistake a post, it can't be flagged anymore. I can't take the sat back, that is ok, my mistake, but at least a way not to be included in boost and let me to flag it.

stackers have outlawed this. turn on wild west mode in your /settings to see outlawed content.
