On episode 2 of the Stacker Sports Podcast, we go through our NFL division rankings and preview what we're looking forward to in this upcoming NBA Season.
Despite our attempt to reign in the episode length, episode 2 is bigger, longer, and uncut.
Approximate episode outline:
- We corrected our episode 1 oversight and discussed the UEFA contest: #732281.
- @grayruby was too politely Canadian to really rub his fantasy win in my face.
- Our NFL division rankings built off of @grayruby's post Kings of the North.
- While talking about the AFC East we covered the Adams and Cooper trades: #725467 and #725087.
- What we're looking forward to in the NBA builds off of the prediction contest.
- Then a little Degenerate Corner to talk about our upcoming bets.
Let us know what you think about the episode. We're still trying to figure out how to balance our audio levels.
I got pretty far into #2 here and I am going to give some constructive criticism. Others may disagree with me, so I'm curious to see if my comments make sense. The two of you come across as polite, intelligent individuals. I have listened to many sports talk shows and podcasts. I think you need to let your inner lunatic fan out more. More colloquialisms, some mild off color comments, and some well placed grammatical fails. Yelling is also effective.
Okay. I'm done. I did enjoy what I have listened of episode 2 so far. I'll get back to it later this afternoon .
I agree but thank goodness you guys at least don’t talk over each other! That would wreck it 💯
In short the sports like enthusiasm and often listened sports shrill sounds were missing. Am I right?
These two are too smart and articulate. I say dumb it down! (I am mostly joking)
Script suggestion for next week: How bout da Yankees? Stanton? Dat fuckin guy. "
No doubt about their smartness but your critical appreciation is also valid.
I was keeping an eye on the Yankees, Guardians game while we were recording and I almost cursed when Soto hit the homer to essentially win it. Next time I will aim not to restrain myself.
That's a very NY recommendation. We can try to dial it up, but I don't know if Canadians are capable of acrimony.
Have you ever listened to an old recording of Don Cherry?
No
He is going to resume his hockey announcing career at 90:
view on youtu.beThis is who @grayruby should model his podcast persona after.
There can only ever be one Don Cherry.
Do you know if NHL is doing another frozen frenzy this year?
I'm not certain, but I wouldn't be surprised. It seems to be very popular. I thought the novelty would have worn off by now.
It’s Tuesday.
Alright. Gotta spin up a Frozen Frenzy contest.
Congratulations to both of you guys! It's always easier to start something than to sustain it for a long time. I wish you both a very good luck.
The pos was super interesting, except as you said for some audio issues.
Great job guys! Thanks for mentioning the UEFA pool and the feedback! Keep up this great job.
I had to give some explanations to the family as I started listening to the pod while I was driving home with them today and they did not know I was running the pool 🤣🤣
Sorry about the variance in volume of our mics everyone. This is our next required improvement and we will tackle for the next episode!
And, of course we talked about @realBitcoinDog's #729808 and whether or not he really is a dog.
Man you guys got your second pod out before u released my first!! That’s ok. You’ll see mine tomorrow 😈
Can’t wait to listen! #BTCWoofWoof 🐕
@bitcoin_pup is really a dog tho. A dog, on the internet
Can confirm. I'm actually a dog guys.
On the internet, nobody knows you're a horse-lime; but on the internet, everyone knows I'm a dog.
😂😂
Shit! I forgot to forward sats to the co-host.
You didn't do anything wrong after he rubbed his fantasy victory on your face.
