Wokeism isn't an organic thing that just happened culturally, it's the product of a massively resourced psychological operation.

Let's believe for a moment the people really afraid of Trump, they claim he'll use the military to send them to gitmo for sedition. If the fascist hammer they're afraid of really comes to be, they won't be around any longer to organize those psyops, and wokeism will largely disappear... some won't heal but they won't be effective without a head on the snake.

Someone, in analyzing why the New York Times -- a very obviously left-wing publication -- kept emphasizing Harris mistakes and running editorials that seemed to undercut their own beliefs, noted that the circulation of the paper between 2016-2020 was incredibly high, so they'd actually benefit from a Trump presidency (as long as they maintained the facade of still being against him).

There's always power in opposition. It goes in both directions; we'll see more woke/left stuff under Trump, just as we're seeing more opposition to leftism under Biden/Harris (and saw the Tea Party under Obama). It makes sense; people fight harder when they're losing, get complacent when they're winning.

It's never about the short-term, though. It's about where things eventually end up.

It's good for whiny children to learn the world does not bend to their every non-sensical whim. Let them cry it out.

In my humble opinion you are all wrong. Trump is no friend to Bitcoin. In the long run, his scams and poor character will hurt bitcoin more than it will help.

And as far as the 'woke' stuff that you don't agree with... At least the other choice (dems, kamala, etc) don't want to give everything to the Coinbase-Crypto-Casino by deregulating ungistered securities.

We need 'real reforms' and real education as to what Bitcoin is and why it's money. D Trump doesn't provide any of that, and any attempt to justify his ignorance and scams (NFTs, World Liberty Financial, Trump shoes etc) hurts Bitcoin it does not help it.

I am impressed with the USA. They export their great culture, which is undeniable (music, literature and films); but also how they export the waste they manufacture. Woke culture arrived overwhelmingly in Western countries. Trump will certainly face enormous pressure, especially from the artistic class.

For me as a European, the culture wars are entertainment as long as they stay in the US.

Something I think that could cause a difference this time is that we just were here and so even with an initial uptick or swing it will rapidly fall away.

So much of the change was further fueled by companies but we keep seeing them now disband and dismantle their DEI and other departments or ideas that were fueled during this time. Companies aren't just going to flip-flop flop they have shareholders to answer to.

The Middle East is also something that I think will prevent a resurgence. Those who would act out or take to the streets are kinda occupied by throwing a fit with Israel
